The National Archives of Ireland are the holders of the Irish
census of 1901 and 1911. It is they who put it online and all
researchers must be grateful for such a resource. Don't forget
that there are many tens of thousands of important historical
documents at the archives and their website is http://www.nationalarchives.ie/
Office in Dublin is where the records for Surveys and
Griffiths Valuation are held for each county. They have the original
maps for Griffiths Valuation but there seems to be confusion as to
whether or not they are available to the public. Members of Staff at
the Valuation Office offer 1880 maps to the public but the website
says they have the earlier maps in the archives. Do ask!
